Memphis Music & Heritage Festival and Visitors from New Orleans

I was able to catch a little bit of the last night of the festival. There were three stages outside on Main Street and one stage inside the Center for Southern Folklore, lots of food and drinks and quite a large crowd. I missed Sauces pomegranate mojitos which I've had in the past and are so refreshing on a hot summer night. But Circa was selling some killer red and white sangria http://www.circamemphis.com/. The patio at the Majestic http://www.majesticgrille.com/ was packed as well.

We've been seeing a lot of Louisiana license plates all over Memphis today as New Orleans families flee north to safety in anticipation of Hurricane Gustav. If you have to be downtown tomorrow avoid Madison at Front. Cars were double parked on the street in front of the Madison Hotel as people were checking in tonight. I'm sure it's the same with all hotels downtown but the Madison does not have a driveway for people to park in while they check in and out so it's really tight around that block. We are all praying that Gustav will not be as destructive as Katrina and that these families will be able to return to their homes.

Everybody is praying that Gustav will calm down before getting to New Orleans...

I hope you had a great Sangria in the Festival ???
I confirm that any beverage, made of Pomgrenade is refreshing at summer time.

I forgot to ask : did you go to the six leg star Fish (!!!) before or after the Sangria. Please be precise on the timing.
