The Arcade, Memphis' oldest restaurant, was established in 1919 and is still in it's original location on the corner of G.E. Patterson and Main Street. It's actually on the National Register of Historic Places. Breakfast there is great. It leans toward the "bad for you" category which is why it's so good. Although I saw a health nut there eating a bowl of oatmeal with fruit so they offer something for everyone. I never make grits at home but usually get them for breakfast if I go out and ordered some this morning. The sweet potato pancakes, which I didn't get this time, are also sublime.
