Last night I ended up at the last Center City Commission Downtown Alive concert sponsored by Goner Records. There was a great turnout, especially considering Widespread Panic (at Mud Island) and Lyle Lovett/John Hiatt (at The Orpheum) were happening at about the same time. Lots of people were eating outside on patios up and down Main Street enjoying the perfect warm weather before setting out to one concert or another.
Harlan T. Bobo performed : http://www.goner-records.com/harlantbobo/
Several other bands played as well: The Limes, Jack Oblivion & the Tennessee Tearjerkers, Jeffrey Evans and Ross Johnson.
The Barbaras
This last concert was held in Barbaro Alley.
The Crepe Maker restaurant was set up on Main Street. I don't know what CCC has planned for the future but I hope these concerts continue.
