Downtown soul food restaurant, Alcenia's at 317 N. Main will be featured on Guy Fieri's "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" on the Food Network November 3rd. B.J. may give you an extra hug the next time you go in for your salmon croquettes and plate of sweet potato fries. Those sweet potato fries will make you want to cry they're so good. Is Orleans the same place as Cayenne Moon? Same menu? (don't know why I assume you know...) :)
K&M - If I had known you did not know about soul food I would have taken you to Alcenia's for brunch. When will you return to Memphis?
Emily - Orleans on Front is in the same location that Cayenne Moon was at, but it is not the same owner and there is a new menu. I've been meaning to go but Netflix keeps me home a lot, which is sad as it's literally a block away from me.
It is so good that a Memphis restaurant will be featured on Food Network. I am a fan.
