The Pyramid

I really don't know what to think about the Pyramid, a former sports and entertainment arena, possibly becoming an elaborate Bass Pro Shop, I suppose the word to describe it would be more accurately a "complex". When I saw this rendering though I couldn't help but think of the phrase "the north end of downtown brought to you by Bass Pro Shops!" According to a project report presented to the City Council and County Commission on August 25 "this is equal parts retail, conservation, aquarium/museum, conservation education and natural history exhibits". To read more about the bass pro/pyramid plan and to see the full report go to:

I wouldn't mind it being a Bass Pro if it wouldn't look so TACKY. With the fish hooks and all on the side of the pyramid, it looks like a great big redneck amusement park. I guess that's what it will end up being...

K&M,
Bass Pro Shop is a large hunting, fishing and sporting goods equipment store. But it's more elaborate than a plain vanilla box retail store. Cut and paste their link into your brower and you'll see what I mean:

I think they should put a gigantic lure on each side of it. That would be appropriate.
