Street Food on Main

If you work downtown you might have noticed this hot dog vendor on the corner of Union and Main Street at lunch time. I have walked past this cart for several days in a row, admiring it's highly polished and spotlessly clean stainless steel surface. I like the idea of street food and I wish we had more of these around. So today I became a customer and my turkey hot dog with everything was delicious. He plans to have fresh lime-aid, a perfect summer time drink, next week. Give him a call and he'll have your order waiting for you when you go to pick it up and for every 10 hot dogs you buy you get one free. See his menu and information below.

As long as I'm talking about street food, one of my favorite cookbooks (I have about 50 cookbooks) is called "Street Food" by Clare Ferguson, photography by Jeremy Hopley. It's a compilation of street food recipes from all over the world.

I think it would be great to be a street vendor. I wonder where he puts his shiny cart when he is not around? I saw a story on the news not long ago about how popular these street vendors are getting and not just in the typical cities. Love that he has turkey dogs...they are just a delicious as the regular ones!!

Got to love "dirty Dishwater" dogs! Reminds me of the Lucky Dogs down in NOLA or the Gyro guys up in NYC!
