Happy New Year!
As I busily cook my New Year's Eve dinner I have been thinking back over the past year and all that has happened, all I've accomplished and all I have yet to do. I was fortunate in 2009. Work was fulfilling and we met all our goals, Poppy and I were both fit and healthy all year, I was able to travel abroad and experience new things, my family was well and happy, I tried to learn some French and some more Italian, I made some new friends and my old friends are all doing well. Looking ahead to 2010, I have a lot of plans, aspirations, changes to make and hopes for the new year, as everyone does. I have important business to address in the coming year that's close to my heart and I have prayed for direction in this matter. I hope the new year and start to the new decade bring all of you happiness, health, prosperity, joy, peace and that you are surrounded by those who love and support you and that you in kind give your love and support to others. In more pedestrian news, I may give the blog a makeover for 2010 so look for a change!

Happy New Year to you! What a wonderful blog. I am having so much fun reading through it all. I currently live in South Africa, but I am planning a move to Memphis early this year. It's nice to see things about Memphis, and I will definitely keep coming back to have a look at what's going on in Memphis! :D

Hello again! I'm new to blogger, and I was wondering if you could help me with something. I see that on your comment form, there's an option to click on "receive follow-up comments" (which I have done in this case), but how do I activate that option on my blog? Sorry if it's a silly question, but I just can't find it. Thanks! Angela.

That's not a silly question and I hope I can answer it. I think what you want to do is receive email notification when someone leaves a comment on your blog. To do that, you sign in to Blogger, go to settings and comments. Scroll down to comment moderation and enter your email address to receive follow up comments from readers via email. If that's not what you were trying to find out, you may try Blogger help at http://www.google.com/support/blogger/?hl=en. As with any "help" feature, it's sometimes helpful and sometimes not but you can give it a try. I have spent untold hours researching all kinds of blog questions and functions.
