It's a Holiday

It's Victoire 1945 (Victory Day)
Click this link to go to the site. Then scroll down to the bottom of the page to see some interesting photos of Normandy including the American cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer and monuments built in memory of British allied forces. Jean Moulin, the most famous French resistance fighter, was arrested by the Nazis in Caluire-et-Cuire (aka Shake & Bake) and later died at their hands. Moulin had been assigned the task of uniting the various Resistance Movements throughout France. He was arrested during a meeting with fellow resistance fighters in a home in Caluire-et-Cuire. Since it's a big holiday everything is closed today and no one is working.
