Above you see a picture of the typical architecture and colors that you find in Shake & Bake. There are lots of pinks, creams, browns and tans, in other words the landscape is pretty much pastel and subdued. So, last week when I noticed a sign with a rendering of an apartment building that will be built directly across the street from ours I couldn't help but wonder, "how did that color get approved?" Now listen, I'm not complaining, I'm not even saying that I don't like it, I'm just wondering that's all. It's seriously bright orange, like say, a jack O lantern. And then there's the name of the apartments which for me further invokes the thought of hall O ween. To quote from Charlie Brown, "It's the Great Pumpkin! He's rising up out of the pumpkin patch!"
